David Krause, PhD
Founder and Executive Director
Dave is a renowned paleontologist who has led expeditions all over the world in the search for the remains of fossil animals. He is a Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Stony Brook University and Senior Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. His field research in Madagascar, one of the most impoverished countries in the world, led Dave to interact with local communities and, ultimately, to establish The Madagascar Ankizy Fund. MAF’s mission is to build schools and provide healthcare for children living in remote areas of the country.

Rado Ramorasata
National Coordinator
With a degree in social work, Rado has worked for humanitarian organizations since 2006. Rado joined the Madagascar Ankizy Fund in 2015 as a Technical Assistant before taking up his current role as National Coordinator. He oversees and facilitates all MAF operations in Madagascar on a day-to-day basis and is passionate about his work with the children of Madagascar.
Jaona Andriampararany
Technical Assistant
Jaona has been a Technical Assistant for the Madagascar Ankizy Fund since 2016. He had previously worked for years in the fields of management, education, and health within Malagasy communities. Jaona works closely with National Coordinator Rado and facilitates day-to-day operations with the organization.
Benjy Randrianambina
Consultant
Benjy, with decades of experience in facilitating field research and outreach activities in Madagascar through his position as Administrative Officer for the Madagascar Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments, is also passionate about the welfare of Malagasy children. Benjy continues to make himself available to provide advice about all aspects of MAF operations.
