We are a humanitarian organization working to help impoverished children in northwestern Madagascar.

Our Mission
The goals of the Madagascar Ankizy Fund (ankizy means ‘children’ in the Malagasy language) are to provide education and healthcare for children living in remote areas of the island, and to support communities in multiple other ways.
The People of MAF
The Madagascar Ankizy Fund is made stronger by the hard work and support of many dedicated individuals.

Our History
The Madagascar Ankizy Fund was established in 1998 through the Stony Brook Foundation by our Founder and Executive Director, renowned paleontologist Dr. David (Dave) Krause. He is now a curator at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science but remains a Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at Stony Brook University. Dave, along with a large team of other scientists, has conducted research on Madagascar fossils for over three decades.
